Job Description

OCEAN FREIGHT IMPORT CUSTOMER RELATIONS SPECIALIST

Reporting: Ocean Freight Import Manager

Objectives Improve customer experience by engaging in relationships with customers and handling customer orders, inquiries, complaints, claims in good manner (proper and proactive)

Job Duties

  • Developing relationship with allocated import customers
  • Participating in Sales-visit and Meeting with Customer if necessary
  • Accepting, processing and following up all shipment orders from local customer or overseas office after commercial process is completed
  • Proactively updating customer on shipment status and incident solution (if any exceptions)
  • Handling customer inquiries and feedback e.g. shipment process status, document completeness, rates etc.
  • Driving solution of customer complaints (by solving it directly or assigning tasks to other functions)
  • Registering and handling all customer complaints and exception case
  • Acts as first contact point for customer claims; supports customers in notification and reception of claims, provides DGF claims documents, collects required documents from claimant and hands over to specialized claims handlers when documents are complete
  • Prepare and review shipment reports and submit them to the customer (if required)
  • Collaborates closely with Import Operations and other departments for smooth handling of shipments and continuous updates
  • Informs superior and relevant functional unit continuously and in good terms of occurrences within his/ her area of responsibility
  • Comply with QHSE procedure and regulation
  • Actively participate in all QHSE programs

Job Requirements

  • Education background minimum bachelor's degree
  • Well know about Ocean Freight Import and experience in Customer Services for a minimum of 3 years
  • English Fluency both in writing and speaking
  • Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Results oriented without compromising Respect
