Job Description
Join PT. Naga Film Indonesia as a Night Shift Assistant Editor
Are you a night owl with sharp technical instincts, excellent English, and a suspiciously strong opinion about folder structures
Naga Film is a full-service post-production company with studios in Bali and Jakarta. Our teams create high-end social content for some of the world's biggest films and series, working through a 24-hour workflow that connects Indonesia directly with creative partners in the United States.
That makes this a genuinely unusual opportunity: the chance to build international post-production experience, work closely with experienced global teams, and contribute to major entertainment campaigns without leaving Indonesia.
We're looking for a detail-focused Assistant Editor who can keep complex workflows organised, accurate, and moving. This is a technical editorial role for someone who takes pride in clean projects, precise handoffs, and work that arrives exactly as promised.
What you'll do
- Access, download, organise, and track footage and supporting assets from client servers.
- Create and maintain clear project structures, file names, labels, and version histories.
- Sync multicamera footage and production audio; prepare string-outs, selects, and editor-ready timelines.
- Integrate supplied scripts, graphics, music, and other creative elements.
- Prepare exports, transcodes, encodes, and final packages for multiple social platforms.
- Perform quality-control checks before files are delivered or handed off.
- Upload work to client servers and communicate status, questions, and blockers clearly to coordinators and the U.S. partner team.
- Support editors and the wider post-production team with technical troubleshooting and other workflow tasks as needed.
What we're looking for
- Professional assistant-editing experience, or an excellent body of relevant freelance or graduate work.
- Strong Adobe Premiere Pro skills.
- A solid understanding of codecs, frame rates, aspect ratios, audio syncing, exports, and delivery specifications.
- Excellent file-management habits and close attention to detail.
- High-level spoken and written English; you will communicate directly with colleagues in the United States.
- Confidence working independently, asking clear questions, and meeting deadlines during an overnight schedule.
- Familiarity with Mac-based post-production workflows.
- A degree in film, media, technology, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Must be legally able to work in Indonesia and able to work from our Bali or Jakarta office.
The night-owl schedule
- Full-time and office-based.
- Bali: 2:00 AM-11:00 AM WITA.
- Jakarta: 1:00 AM-10:00 AM WIB.
Yes, the hours are unusual. That's also what makes the workflow special: your shift connects directly with our U.S. partner team during their working day and keeps major international entertainment campaigns moving around the clock.
Why join Naga Film
- Help create premium social content for some of the world's biggest films and series.
- Gain experience inside a true round-the-clock global post-production pipeline.
- Learn from experienced editors, sound specialists, colorists, and technical teams.
- Contribute to ambitious, award-winning work seen by audiences around the world.
- Join a supportive, growing Indonesian team that values craft, precision, curiosity, and a good sense of humour during the early hours.
Benefits
- BPJS and pension contributions after the probation period.
- Paid vacation and paid sick leave after the probation period.
