Job Description
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Computer Science, Informatics Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 (five) years in the management and operation of enterprise-scale network infrastructure.
- Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent network certification is an advantage.
- Technical Competence & Responsibilities:a. Monitor network infrastructure (WAN/LAN, Wireless, Internet and inter-site) on an 8x5 basis using a Network Monitoring System (NMS), and provide weekend/holiday standby support according to operational needs.
- b. Monitor servers and applications on an 8x5 basis using the NMS, covering identification, validation and handling of alerts, with readiness to support on weekends/holidays as required.
- c. Continuously monitor the availability, performance, health and capacity utilisation of all infrastructure components.
- d. Carry out proactive monitoring and early detection of anomalies and performance degradation to prevent downtime.
- e. Analyse network quality parameters (including latency, packet loss, jitter, throughput, bandwidth utilisation and optical power).
- f. Monitor and analyse the performance of operational site communication media (WAN, Internet, LTE/4G/5G, Wireless and Satellite).
- g. Manage the ticket lifecycle (incident/problem/request) end to end, from logging, prioritisation, escalation and status monitoring through to closure.
- h. Carry out event correlation and initial Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of incidents involving multiple devices or systems.
- i. Coordinate escalation of disruptions to vendors, ISPs, service providers and internal teams to ensure SLA fulfilment.
- j. Monitor IoT/OT infrastructure and telemetry (IoT/Industrial Gateways, Smart Meters, BMS, UPS, Power Monitoring, CCTV Analytics, etc.) according to available data integration.
- k. Monitor and evaluate all connected IoT/OT telemetry parameters.
- l. Carry out anomaly detection and trend analysis of operational data to identify performance degradation early.
- m. Monitor service dependencies between network, power, IoT, servers and applications to accurately measure the impact of disruptions on business services.
- n. Master and use standard troubleshooting/network analysis tools (such as Wireshark, Tcpdump, Ping, Traceroute, Netstat, Nslookup/Dig).
- o. Prepare periodic operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly) covering network availability, incident summary, SLA achievement and preventive/proactive actions.
