Router Replacement & Pre-Configuration Roles & Responsibilities (Short)
- Pre-configure the new router as per approved network settings.
- Update firmware and perform bench testing before dispatch.
- Coordinate with site contact for access and downtime window.
- Remove existing router and install the new device.
- Connect WAN/LAN cables and ensure proper power connection.
- Power on and verify interface status, routing, and connectivity.
- Test network/Internet/VPN to confirm services are restored.
- Troubleshoot basic issues if any (power, cabling, configuration).
- Document installation details and share completion report with sign-off.
