Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to design, implement, and maintain our organization's network infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure maximum uptime, high performance, and robust security for our local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN). You will be a key player in troubleshooting complex issues and supporting our digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points).
- Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network performance and integrity to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Security Enforcement: Implement and manage network security measures (VPN, Firewalls, ACLs, and IDS/IPS) to protect data and infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues (L2/L3 troubleshooting).
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configuration records, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Security and Systems teams to implement infrastructure upgrades and new technology integration.
- Infrastructure Converged Management: Implement and troubleshoot Converged or Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) networking to optimize data flow between Server and storage layers.
- Latency & Throughput Optimization: Monitor and tune network parameters to ensure low-latency and high-bandwidth paths for mission-critical database and storage traffic.
- Storage Networking (SAN/NAS): Design, configure, and manage dedicated storage networks, including Fiber Channel (FC) switches and iSCSI configurations, to ensure seamless connectivity between servers and storage arrays.
Requirements
Education
- A four-year degree from a recognized university in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration or engineering
Skills
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, routing, and switching concepts
- Hands-on experience with network devices such as Cisco / MikroTik / Fortinet (or equivalent)
- Advanced understanding of network security and firewall management
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and documentation skills
Qualifications
- Certifications: Active CCNA/CCNP, MikroTik MTCNA, Fortinet NSE
- Experience managing networks in manufacturing plants, factories, or large office environments.
- Experience in IT Helpdesk or System Administration roles
