About the Role
We're looking for a battle-tested .NET full stack developer who knows retail systems inside-out and can build integrations that don't choke the moment traffic spikes. If you can wrangle Kafka, craft clean APIs, and keep multiple retail platforms talking to each other without dramayou're exactly who we want.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable .NET applications and microservices supporting core retail operations.
- Build and maintain robust integrations using Kafka, REST APIs, and middleware components.
- Work closely with product, POS, merchandising, warehousing, and ERP teams to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.
- Optimize system performance and ensure integrations remain stable across high-volume retail cycles.
- Implement best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.
- Troubleshoot production issues with speed and a cool headespecially when it impacts stores.
- Document technical designs, data flows, and integration contracts clearly.
Required Skills & Experience
- 68+ years of hands-on full stack development using .NET Core / .NET 6+, C#, and modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular preferred).
- Strong expertise in Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, partitions, schema registry).
- Solid experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise systems.
- Prior experience in retail technology is non-negotiablePOS, inventory, warehousing, or ERP exposure is essential.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and caching frameworks.
- Experience building scalable, distributed systems that can handle peak loads.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on a contract basis.
Nice to Have
- Experience with message brokers beyond Kafka (e.g., RabbitMQ)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Understanding of retail data models and omnichannel workflows
