.NET Developer

Job Description

Develop, maintain, and optimize .NET-based applications while ensuring seamless integration with legacy AS/400 (IBM i) systems to support business operations and data flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Build and maintain scalable web applications, desktop solutions, or APIs using C# and the .NET framework (.NET Core / .NET Framework).
• System Integration: Design and implement integrations between .NET applications and AS/400 (IBM i) systems using APIs, web services, or direct database connections (ODBC, OLE DB, DB2).
• Database Management: Manage and optimize queries using SQL Server, while supporting data extraction and processing from DB2 (AS/400).
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues in .NET applications and cross-system data workflows.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts and infrastructure specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a .NET Developer proficient in C#, ASP.NET Core/MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework.
• Key Requirement: Strong working knowledge or experience interfacing with AS/400 (IBM i) systems and DB2 databases.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, relational databases (SQL Server & DB2), and data integration methods (ODBC, IBM i Access; familiarity with RPG/CL is a plus).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
