About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic National Key Account Manager to lead national account initiatives across modern trade channels. This role will oversee modern trade accounts (minimarkets & retail groups), lead strategic initiatives for new product development, and drive impactful growth nationwide.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multinational FMCG company with strong market presence, where you will play a critical role in shaping national sales strategies and building sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national key account strategies across modern trade channels and manage a team of Key Account Managers.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with head offices of national minimarket chains and retail groups.
  • Negotiate product listings, trade terms, and visibility programs at a national level.
  • Develop and execute the national promotional calendar, ensuring smooth rollout across all regions.
  • Monitor and analyze channel, account, and regional performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with regional sales teams to ensure execution excellence at store level.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and demand planning teams to secure accurate forecasting and stock availability.
  • Track competitor activities and share insights with senior leadership.
  • Evaluate ROI of promotional programs and ensure alignment with trading agreements.
  • Coach and develop the Key Account team to build capability and deliver results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Key Account Management or Modern Trade Sales within the FMCG (food) industry, including team leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in managing national minimarket chains and modern trade accounts at head office level.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with strategic partners.
  • Solid knowledge of sell-out strategies, promotional mechanics, and in-store execution.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and drive decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with supply chain, sales operations, and trade marketing.
  • Excellent project and time management skills to handle multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to build and grow high-performing teams.
