Role Description The National Curriculum Coordinator (Wakil Kurikulum) is a full-time, on-site role based in Batam, responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the national curriculum across grade levels. This role involves designing and aligning curriculum plans with school standards and national regulations, collaborating with teaching staff to ensure effective delivery, and monitoring classroom practices to support high-quality learning outcomes. The Coordinator will conduct regular curriculum reviews, organize professional development related to curriculum and instruction, and provide guidance to teachers on assessment strategies and learning resources. Daily tasks include coordinating lesson planning, analyzing academic data to inform curriculum decisions, communicating updates to school leadership and educators, and ensuring that the curriculum reflects the school's interdisciplinary and globally oriented vision.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of national Curriculum frameworks and standards, and the ability to align them with the school's interdisciplinary and global approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development, including design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous curriculum improvement.
  • Proficiency in Communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, leadership teams, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven Educational Leadership capabilities, including mentoring teachers, leading academic initiatives, and managing curriculum-related projects.
  • Background in Education, preferably with a degree in Education or a related field, and classroom experience in national or international school settings.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to use student performance data to guide curriculum decisions and instructional strategies.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary and competency-based learning, as well as familiarity with national and international assessment practices, is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in Batam, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and uphold inclusive, learner-centered educational practices.
