PT Masmindo Dwi Area | Awak Mas Gold Project, South Sulawesi
PT Masmindo Dwi Area is building the Awak Mas Gold Project, an open-pit gold mine moving through construction toward first gold. We are looking for a Mine Operations Manager to establish and lead mine production at site — taking the operation through pre-strip and initial pit development into first ore and steady-state production. You will own everything that happens in the pit, turning approved plans into safe, consistent, cost-effective ore delivered to the plant.
What you will do
- Deliver daily, monthly and annual production targets across load and haul, ancillary equipment, and mine services.
- Execute the plans issued by Technical Services and drive short-interval control to close the gap between plan and actual within the shift.
- Own grade control execution in the pit — accurate ore and waste demarcation, selective mining discipline, and controlling dilution and ore loss at the mining face.
- Manage ore delivery and ROM stockpiles by grade domain to meet the plant's grade, tonnage and blending requirements.
- Manage mining contractor performance against productivity, availability and utilisation KPIs.
- Own the mine operations budget, controlling cost per BCM, strip ratio and cost per ounce.
- Lead safety performance at site and build a strong, capable national operations team.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years in open-pit mining operations, including 5 years leading production at site.
- POM certification and a solid grasp of Indonesian mining regulations.
- Proven delivery of production targets in an open-pit gold or hard rock operation.
- Hands-on experience with grade control, ore and waste reconciliation, and dilution management.
- Track record managing mining contractors and driving unit cost improvement.
- Genuine safety leadership, not just compliance.
- Willing to be site based on a roster arrangement.
A strong advantage: experience taking a project through construction into first ore and ramp-up — you will be doing exactly that here. POU certification is also valued.
