SUPERINTENDENT – MINE BUSINESS EXCELLENCE

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

Lead and facilitate continuous improvement, operational excellence, and performance enhancement initiatives across Mine Operations by identifying, evaluating, and implementing sustainable improvement opportunities. Support operational leaders through data-driven analysis, process optimization, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration to improve safety, productivity, equipment utilization, operational efficiency, and cost performance while ensuring alignment with the Company's business objectives.

Operational Performance Improvement

• Monitor and analyze operational performance within Mine Operations, including productivity, equipment utilization, cycle times, operational efficiency, and cost performance.
• Conduct performance gap analyses and identify improvement opportunities to optimize mining processes and operational outcomes.
• Develop practical recommendations to address operational challenges and improve overall mine performance.
• Support operational leaders in implementing improvement opportunities and achieving established performance targets.
• Utilize data analytics and operational insights to support continuous performance improvement initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

• Lead the implementation of continuous improvement programs and methodologies across Mine Operations.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving initiatives and root cause analysis to resolve operational issues and eliminate recurring performance constraints.
• Promote Operational Excellence, Lean principles, and continuous improvement culture throughout the operation.
• Support the development and standardization of operational processes, systems, and best practices.
• Drive improvement initiatives that deliver measurable benefits in safety, productivity, equipment reliability, and operating cost efficiency.

Improvement Planning & Implementation

• Develop improvement project plans, implementation roadmaps, milestones, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate the execution of approved improvement initiatives and monitor project progress against objectives.
• Ensure improvement initiatives are effectively embedded into daily operational practices and management systems.
• Track and validate realized benefits from improvement projects and report performance outcomes.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Develop and maintain operational performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting systems for Mine Operations.
• Analyze operational trends, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Prepare performance reports, presentations, and business improvement updates for operational leadership and management.
• Support annual business planning processes by providing performance insights and improvement recommendations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Build strong working relationships with Mine Operations, Mine Technical Services, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Business Improvement, and other support functions.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex operational issues and achieve business improvement objectives.
• Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and operational teams on continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Support operational leaders in change management and improvement initiative implementation.

Innovation & Best Practices

• Identify, evaluate, and recommend operational best practices, emerging technologies, digital solutions, and innovative mining approaches.
• Benchmark operational performance against industry standards and leading mining practices.
• Support implementation of technologies and systems that improve operational effectiveness and decision-making capability.
• Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within Mine Operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

What skills and experience do you need

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in open pit copper & gold mining operations, mine technical services, operational excellence, business improvement, continuous improvement, or mining production management.
• Strong understanding of open pit mining processes, mine production activities, operational KPIs, equipment productivity, dispatch systems, and mining value chain performance.
• Strong knowledge of mining performance metrics, equipment utilization, productivity analysis, and operational cost drivers.
• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, productivity improvement, process optimization, or business improvement initiatives within mining operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret operational data and translate findings into actionable improvement plans.
• Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Root Cause Analysis, or equivalent improvement methodologies.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional improvement projects and delivering measurable operational results.
• Experience in developing business cases, performance reports, operational dashboards, and management presentations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration, facilitation, and influencing skills across multiple operational functions.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Strong safety leadership mindset with visible field engagement and commitment to safe production practices; Effective leadership, coaching, communication, planning, prioritization, and team development skills; Ability to perform in a dynamic operational environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Working Location: Site Based – West Sumbawa

Working Schedule: Regular Working Days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)
