Job Description
As a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Functional Analyst / Technical Project Manager at RoviSys, you will work closely with clients and partners to define business requirements and lead the delivery of MES solutions from requirements through go-live. This is a hybrid role that combines functional and business analysis with hands-on technical project management. Together with Project Manager/Sponsor, you will own project timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure MES implementations meet both functional and technical objectives. You will work in a collaborative environment to solve complex client challenges alongside intelligent, talented and dedicated teammates.
Description of Work
- Assist in evaluating business needs, research and perform impact analysis of new requirements or changes.
- Architect solutions to solve business problems in the most efficient means possible.
- Plan and manage MES project execution - scope, schedule, budget, and resources, from kickoff through go-live, including internal CAPEX-funded initiatives.
- Develop and maintain the corporate knowledgebase for MES and ancillary applications and associated environments.
- Develop training plans and provide ongoing training to application users as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact to manage functional and technical issues with vendors, and coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, engineering, production) to keep projects on track.
- Develop test cases and perform comprehensive functional testing.
- Work closely with IT and MES development teams to ensure the MES is configured and customized to meet production goals.
- Monitor MES performance post-implementation, collecting and analysing data to ensure the system delivers desired outcomes in efficiency, quality, and cost savings.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills and a calm, positive, professional demeanour to accurately identify and resolve user issues.
- Prepare detailed project status reports and presentations on MES project progress, outcomes, and future plans for senior management and stakeholders.
Success Factors
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, with exposure to more than one manufacturing industry (e.g. semiconductor, PCB/SMT, chemical, F&B, medical device, or similar) preferred.
- Good understanding of MES solutions & platforms such as Critical Manufacturing or Parsec TrakSYS.
- Demonstrated ability to run a project end-to-end, such as scoping, planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
- Hands-on technical background in coding or systems integration within an OT environment

Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and/or relevant industry experience.
- Minimum 2 years of technical hands-on experience as a developer or engineer, or similar role, having personally run or co-led a project or internal CAPEX initiative end-to-end.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments; experience across more than one manufacturing industry is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of MES capabilities and how they can be applied to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Familiarity with Agile and/or traditional project management methodology.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in English.
