Job Summary**
The Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing product visibility and sales performance within retail environments. This role involves planning and executing merchandising strategies, ensuring proper product display, and maintaining strong relationships with store personnel to achieve sales targets.
Job Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement effective merchandising plans to maximize product exposure and appeal in assigned retail outlets.
- Ensure accurate and attractive product placement, shelf organization, and promotional material display according to company guidelines and planograms.
- Monitor stock levels, identify potential out-of-stock situations, and communicate needs to relevant internal teams.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and address any issues.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with store managers and staff to facilitate merchandising activities and secure prime display locations.
- Collect and report market intelligence, including competitor activities, product trends, and customer feedback.
- Assist in setting up promotional displays and in-store events.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on merchandising activities, sales performance, and market observations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to merchandising.
Job Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar sales/retail role, preferably within the food industry.
- Strong understanding of merchandising principles and retail sales environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise as required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory.
