Responsibilities
We are looking for a Merchandiser Fashion (Costing) to manage cost analysis, price negotiations, and vendor coordination to ensure efficient production while maintaining quality and profitability. This role requires strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and knowledge of fabric, trims, and garment production.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and calculate product costs, including fabric, trims, labor, overhead, and logistics, to ensure competitive pricing.
- Work closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to develop cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers, vendors, and factories to achieve the best cost and margin.
- Review and analyze vendor quotations, ensuring transparency and accuracy in cost breakdowns.
- Monitor raw material costs, exchange rates, and production expenses to optimize pricing strategies.
- Develop and maintain cost sheets, pricing reports, and margin analyses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product integrity and brand standards.
- Coordinate sample development and pre-production approvals to validate costing accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion merchandising, costing, or production.
- Proficiency in costing methods, price negotiations, and vendor management.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and cost analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
