About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP Manager / Senior MEP Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works for major construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing MEP design coordination, construction execution, testing & commissioning, and project handover while ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved. Required to be based in Indonesia or Thailand during project phase.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Pre-Construction
- Review MEP design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for constructability and compliance.
- Lead MEP coordination with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and specialist vendors.
- Manage BIM coordination and resolve design clashes before construction.
- Support procurement planning, construction sequencing, and equipment installation strategies.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical proposals.
Construction Management
- Manage all site MEP activities to ensure works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams during project execution.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, manpower allocation, and material delivery schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures to maintain project objectives.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Plan and coordinate testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems.
- Interface with clients, consultants, authorities, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage defect rectification, punch list closure, and system acceptance processes.
- Ensure complete handover documentation, as-built records, O&M manuals, and training are delivered to clients.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary MEP interface between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Support cost control, variation management, and value engineering initiatives.
- Foster strong collaboration across all project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in MEP construction, coordination, or project management.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale building, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction methodologies, testing & commissioning, and project delivery processes.
- Experience working for a Main Contractor, General Contractor, EPC Contractor, or Design & Build Contractor is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Candidates must be willing to be based in Indonesia or Thailand.
- Ability to travel within the region as required by project assignments.
- Data Center project experience will be an added advantage.
