We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to design, coordinate, and oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across construction and infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for ensuring building service systems are safe, reliable, energy-efficient, and compliant with technical specifications and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical power distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and utility infrastructure.
- Prepare technical specifications, engineering calculations, material take-offs, Bills of Quantity (BoQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, and MEP bidding packages.
- Review and coordinate 3D models and construction drawings to ensure design accuracy, constructability, and clash-free integration with architectural and structural disciplines.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise on-site MEP installation works and ensure compliance with engineering drawings, project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of MCC panels, electrical equipment, automation instruments, valves, and other MEP systems.
- Ensure proper configuration and operation of high- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Participate in system testing, commissioning, performance verification, and project handover activities.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project planning, scheduling, cost control, and coordination using project management tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in MEP engineering, building construction, infrastructure projects, or industrial facility development.
- Proven experience in 3D model review and coordination using BIM or 3D engineering platforms.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and 3D coordination software such as Navisworks, BEAMS, or equivalent.
- Strong experience in preparing MEP bidding packages, technical specifications, material take-offs, BoQ, and RFP documentation.
- Solid understanding of high- and low-voltage power distribution systems, electrical infrastructure, and utility coordination.
- Hands-on experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of MCC panels, electrical equipment, automation instruments, and industrial control components.
- Familiarity with building codes, electrical standards, and MEP engineering regulations (ASHRAE, IEC, SNI, or other relevant standards).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building services coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary construction projects.
- Professional engineering certification or relevant MEP certifications is an advantage.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
