Position Overview
The Medical Check-Up Unit Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day operational leadership of the Medical Check-Up Unit, ensuring the delivery of efficient, patient-centered, and high-quality preventive health screening services. The role oversees unit operations, supervises staff, coordinates multidisciplinary service delivery, and promotes compliance with clinical governance, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Medical Services Manager and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, the Medical Check-Up Unit Supervisor supports continuous service improvement while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
A. Operational Leadership
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Medical Check-Up Unit to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality service delivery.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, patient flow, staffing, and operational workflow to optimise service efficiency.
- Monitor unit capacity, operational readiness, and service demand, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Ensure examination rooms, equipment, and operational resources are maintained to support uninterrupted services
B. Service Coordination & Client Experience
- Coordinate multidisciplinary medical check-up services to ensure examinations are completed efficiently and in accordance with established service pathways.
- Promote a positive client experience by ensuring timely service delivery, effective communication, and responsive resolution of service issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate seamless coordination of diagnostic and clinical services.
C. Quality Management & Compliance
- Promote compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, accreditation requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, accreditation activities, and incident investigations.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and accurate documentation throughout the medical check-up process.
D. Leadership & People Management
- Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and support to Medical Check-Up Unit staff.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and service-oriented working environment.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, competency assessment, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate daily staff allocation and shift coverage to maintain safe and effective operations.
E. Collaborative & Communication
- Collaborate with medical practitioners, nursing teams, laboratory, radiology, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to support coordinated service delivery.
- Maintain effective communication regarding operational issues, service requirements, and client needs.
- Escalate operational concerns to the Medical Services Manager in a timely manner.
F. Administration & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, departmental documentation, and relevant records.
- Monitor unit performance indicators and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Participate in departmental projects, accreditation activities, and hospital commissioning initiatives as required.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Medicine, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or another relevant healthcare discipline
- Valid STR
- Minimum 5 years experience in medical check-up services, outpatient services, preventive healthcare, or another relevant healthcare environment
- Minimum 2 years experience in supervisory or leadership role
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a healthcare environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English is desirable
