We are looking for a hands-on Mechatronics Engineer to become the System Integrator of our robotic products. While our Electronics Engineers handle the brain and nerves of the system, you will bridge the mechanical body, electrical subsystems, and embedded firmware—transforming concepts into fully functional robotic platforms ready for real-world deployment.
You will work across mechanical design, electronics integration, embedded programming, and basic control systems to build reliable, manufacturable, and field-ready robotic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical & Product Design: Design robotic enclosures, frames, and mounting structures using SolidWorks/Fusion 360, including tolerance stack-up and manufacturing drawings (CNC, Sheet Metal, Injection Molding).
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM/DFA): Translate prototypes into production-ready designs, prepare BOM, and ensure feasible tolerances.
- Thermal & Structural Design: Implement cooling strategies for embedded systems and vibration-resistant mounts for sensors and cameras.
- Electrical Integration: Interpret PCB schematics/layouts, manage cable routing, grounding, and power distribution, and integrate sensors, motors, and embedded boards.
- Embedded Systems Development: Develop basic firmware (Embedded C/C++) on ESP32/STM32/Arduino for sensor interfacing and actuator control (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
- Motion & Control: Implement basic motor control and PID feedback loops for actuators and motion systems.
- Prototyping & Workshop: Build and validate prototypes using 3D printers and workshop tools (drilling, tapping, fitting).
- System Integration & Debugging: Perform system-level debugging across mechanical, electrical, and firmware layers.
- Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work closely with Electronics and Robotics teams during integration reviews and field testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (D4/S1) in Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks / Fusion 360 for complex assemblies.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ESP32 / STM32 / Arduino).
- Embedded C/C++ programming experience.
- Familiarity with sensors, motor drivers, actuators, and basic motion systems.
- Understanding of GD&T and tolerance design.
- Basic knowledge of control systems (PID).
- Ability to read PCB schematics and layouts.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical workshop environments.
- Systems-thinking mindset with ability to bridge mechanical, electrical, and embedded domains.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced R&D and real-world deployment environments.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with ROS / ROS2.
- Knowledge of EMI mitigation and grounding strategies.
- Experience designing enclosures for harsh environments (heat, vibration, dust).
- Camera / vision system integration.
- Basic Linux familiarity.
