To ensure mechanical and hydraulic equipment remains in a safe, reliable, and efficient operating condition by performing effective preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime, and supporting continuous fabrication and production activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems and mechanical components.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, accumulators, hoses, and fittings.
  • Identify hydraulic leaks and perform necessary repairs or component replacements.
  • Conduct pressure testing and verify hydraulic system performance.
  • Monitor hydraulic fluid levels, cleanliness, pressure, and overall operating conditions.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on rolling machines, plate bending machines, presses, cranes, and heavy lifting equipment.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Support equipment inspections, breakdown maintenance, overhauls, and commissioning activities as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment abnormalities or recurring issues.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company HSE procedures, quality standards, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain good housekeeping within maintenance and work areas.

Qualifications

  • Technical Certificate, Vocational Qualification, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience in heavy industry, fabrication, manufacturing, shipyard, or Oil & Gas environments.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, fittings, cranes, rolling machines, and hydraulic power units.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Good awareness of workplace safety and HSE requirements.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team.
