We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Engineering Lead (Rotating) to oversee the design, selection, and execution of rotating equipment for ESSA's
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project. This role ensures all rotating systems meet technical, safety, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle; from Technology Selection to FEED, EPC, and commissioning, while coordinating across teams to deliver safe and reliable operations.
Reporting: Mechanical Manager
Location: ESM Head Office, Jakarta Selatan and Site Plant
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years experience in mechanical/rotating equipment engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead role.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, piping systems, and material specifications.
- Proficient in ASME, API, and ANSI standards and mechanical integrity practices.
- Proven experience managing BEP, FEED, and EPC deliverables through to site execution.
- Skilled in vendor coordination, FATs, and performance testing.
- Familiar with SMK3, ISO 14001, and quality management systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in EPC tendering and technical bid evaluation preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and execution for rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, fans, blowers).
- Oversee design specifications, datasheets, and vendor documents.
- Represent ESSA in reviews, HAZOPs, FATs, and inspections.
- Coordinate with EPCs, licensors, and internal teams to ensure quality and alignment.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning at site.
- Ensure compliance with SMK3 and international standards.
- Guide junior engineers and support cross-discipline collaboration.
- Manage documentation, ITPs, and equipment handover to operations.
