Overview roles
As a Mechanical Engineer at PT Formulatrix Indonesia, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, integrating, and optimizing innovative automation products from concept through manufacturing readiness. This full-time position is based in Central Java, where you will contribute your expertise across mechanical design, robotics, system integration, product validation, and manufacturing processes to support the company's strategic goals in delivering high-precision laboratory automation solutions.

Mechanical Design Engineer
What will you do
- Conducting research and analysis to create the concept of new products.
- Designing systems and components that meet the needs and requirements using engineering tools.
- Building prototypes of automation systems and mechanical components, testing them, and improving the design until the product is ready to manufacture.
- Providing good reports and documentation.
- Reviewing and evaluating existing products to suggest ways to improve them.
- Managing team members and working together to accomplish the goal.
- Working and collaborating with other professionals, both inside and outside the engineering sector.
- Planning milestones, project time frame, and goals.
- Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques.
- Monitoring and commissioning engineering system.
What are we looking for
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
Experience:
- Has experience in mechanical design and manufacturing (machining and fabrication).
- Has experience in mechanism design, automation, or special purpose machines.
- DFMEA/PFMEA, design improvement, trials, and root cause analysis.
Technical Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge in kinematics, precision & moving assemblies, and small mechanisms/SPM.
- Have the ability of using CAD/CAM (SolidWorks or Onshape is a plus).
- Have the ability to operate a CNC machine.
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

Robotics Engineer
What will you do
- Design and implement complex systems on your own, including system architectural design, relevant design documentation, test planning and execution using in-house rapid prototyping capabilities.
- Process, generate, and analyze data.
- Creatively solve design challenges, identify problems, and troubleshoot automation and robotic systems.
- Conduct failure mode root cause analysis and risk analysis activities to support investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the innovation, technology development, and creation of robotics and systems, from feasibility prototype through product commercialization.
- Develop test methods, design fixturing, and create technical documentation to support verification and validation activities.
- Generate appropriate test protocols/test cases to properly test the product and the corresponding test reports.
- Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, and other programmable equipments.
What are we looking for
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
Experience:
- Build fully automation/robotics projects (academic or professional).
- Use microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry, Wireless control, etc.) and their components, including motors, sensors, control systems, etc.
- Use Software & Algorithm (Python, C++, C#).
Technical Skills:
- Have good knowledge of CAD/CAM (SolidWorks or Onshape is a plus).
- Have good knowledge of CNC machines.
- Strong mechanical foundation & knowledge of high-precision robotics.

Injection Product Engineer
What will you do
- Maintain high-quality plastic products by applying Zero Defect methodologies across all production stages.
- Analyze Moldflow simulation results to determine optimal injection parameters through scientific calculations.
- Conduct Design of Experiments (DoE) for molds and support mold sampling processes.
- Continuously optimize processes and tooling designs for product quality, cost efficiency, and design excellence.
- Prepare tooling and validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new product introductions (NPI).
- Conduct product testing, validation, and root cause analysis for plastic injection parts.
What are we looking for
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Precision Tooling, or related field.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in manufacturing, tooling, or plastic molding.
- Experience in product testing, validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ), and DoE execution.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of plastic injection materials, processes, and technologies.
- Proficient in Moldflow Simulation and Analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE) for mold optimization.
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Soft Skills:

System Integration Engineer
What will you do
- Designing, developing, and implementing robust integration solutions to connect various systems and components.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Assisting engineers in creating and executing test plans independently (both hardware and software).
- Collaborating with the QA team to track, identify, and record the issues found in the system.
What are we looking for
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
Experience:
- Experience in hardware and software testing for robotic instruments.
- Experience in Vision Systems, PID Control, Motion Control, Python, and robotics.
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of mechanical systems (mechanical knowledge is a plus).
- Familiar with UAT, FAT, SAT, or similar testing methods.
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Automation Engineer
What will you do
- Analyze and optimize production processes for industrial automation.
- Design, develop, and program PLC-, HMI-, and network-based control systems.
- Read, design, and verify electrical diagrams, control logic, and wiring layouts.
- Conduct rapid prototyping, system testing, troubleshooting, and site commissioning for automated equipment.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and operating manuals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical and software teams on automation integration and OOP-based task support.
What are we looking for
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum Diploma (D3) in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field (vocational graduates with relevant experience are welcome).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, electrical design, and PLC programming.
- Experience in system integration (mechanical–electrical–control systems) and site commissioning.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLC, HMI, and automation control standards (CE, UL, ISO, IEC).
- Ability to read and design electrical schematics and wiring layouts.
- Basic understanding of 3D CAD, OOP programming (C#, C++, Java, or Python), and CNC/manufacturing systems is a plus.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
