Job Role / Job Overview

This role needs to manage Contract Manufacturing / Manufacturing to ensure material position accurately and timely per Customer's forecast and backlog order, ensure inventory meet monthly and quarterly target, help establish good communication with Volex internal Departments, also escalate and resolve material supply issue, logistic issue and customs clearance issue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reports to General Manager (GM).
  • Manage third-party partners to ensure accurate and timely material positioning according to material request plans.
  • Oversee product end-of-life processes to minimize excess and obsolete costs.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by ensuring material availability and preventing delays caused by shortages.
  • Execute supply chain processes including inventory analysis, demand planning, logistics management, and import/export operations.
  • Perform demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution and resolving issues proactively.
  • Drive backlog management analysis and provide actionable insights.
  • Collect and synthesize demand data from factory sites, regional teams, and account managers to generate accurate demand signals for forecasting.
  • Collaborate with local and regional planning teams to maintain and improve business processes.
  • Monitor key metrics, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to priority projects through complex analysis and recommendations.
  • May lead projects or teams, facilitating decision-making and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or materials planning within manufacturing environments, including exposure to managerial responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Indonesian; Chinese language skills are a plus.
  • Proven ability to deliver operational results and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or EPICOR, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain effective communication with global teams across US, Europe, and Asia Pacific, including internal and external partners.
