About The Role

This internship supports strategic business initiatives through field-based research, observation, and competitor analysis. Interns will work closely with the project committee to gather ground-level insights and translate them into actionable findings that support business decision-making and value proposition development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-the-ground observations in selected retail/service locations to understand shopper behavior, service flow, and customer experience.
• Run short interviews with customers and frontline staff to capture needs, pain points, expectations, and decision drivers.
• Perform market and competitor research on existing players within the industry, covering aspects such as product assortment, pricing, service models, layout, and promotional activities.
• Organize findings into clear insights, problem statements, and opportunity areas, supporting the development of unique selling propositions (USP).
• Prepare simple reports, insight summaries, and weekly updates for review by the project committee.

Requirements

• Undergraduate students or fresh graduates from any major; backgrounds in Business, Marketing, Psychology, or related fields are preferred.
• High energy, curious, and practical, with a strong interest in understanding customer behavior and business operations.
• Strong observation and communication skills, comfortable engaging with customers and frontline staff.
• Structured and analytical thinker; comfortable working with basic Excel / Google Sheets.
• Willing to be on the ground and spend time at operational locations as part of fieldwork.
• Proactive, reliable, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
