The Maritime & Shipping Human Resources (HR) Manager role is an opportunity for an experienced, hands-on HR professional to join a growing organisation. The position oversees the full spectrum of HR functions and supports HR initiatives across multiple business entities, working closely with directors and senior management on organisational and employee-related matters.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, industrial relations, learning and development, performance and talent management, and HR administration
- Develop and implement HR policies, standard operating procedures, company regulations, organisational structures, job descriptions, and salary structures
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian employment regulations, including industrial relations, dispute resolution, termination, BPJS, and PPh 21 requirements
- Standardise HR policies and systems across multiple business entities
- Lead workforce planning, HR budgeting, and organisational development
- Manage job grading, salary benchmarking, compensation and benefits, succession planning, and talent development
- Handle HR audits, restructuring, mergers, and employee transfers across business entities
- Advise directors and management on organisational and employee-related matters
- Monitor and analyse HR metrics, including headcount, turnover, recruitment, payroll, attendance, performance, and industrial relations
- Prepare consolidated HR reports and insights for directors and senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Law, Human Resources Management, Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
- Minimum 10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years at manager level, preferably within the maritime, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or port industry
- Experience in a publicly listed company (Tbk) or large-scale corporate environment is highly preferred
- Proven track record of managing HR functions across multiple entities or business units
- Hands-on approach and the ability to independently manage a broad range of HR functions within a lean HR structure
- Solid knowledge of Indonesian employment regulations and industrial relations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
