Title Description for Opportunity: Manufacturing Engineering

Role Name: Manufacturing Engineering – Process Planning, NPI & Aerospace Quality Systems

Location: Whitefield, Bengaluru

Experience Range: 3 to 12 Years

Qualifications: BE in Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Certifications: Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, SAP ME/ERP, Teamcenter, Siemens NX, Net -Inspect, Power BI, Visual Basic (VBA), APQP & PPAP Documentation

Must Have Skills:

1. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
2. Develop and maintain manufacturing process plans, routings and work instructions.
3. Configure and support MES systems, digital work instructions and Engineering-to-Manufacturing data flow.
4. Implement engineering changes including ECN, BOM updates, process modifications and source transfer projects.
5. Lead and support NPI activities including APQP, PPAP, FAIR, SPC, MSA, process validation, qualification, and production readiness reviews.
6. Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and Inspection Plans.
7. Support production operations, resolve shop floor issues and monitor manufacturing KPIs.
8. Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints using RCA 8D, and 5-Why methodologies.
9. Coordinate cross-functional activities with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams.
10. Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Zero-Defect initiatives, and process capability enhancement (Cp/Cpk).
11. Maintain manufacturing documentation and quality records

Good to have Skills

1. Expertise in precision machined aerospace components made from Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum alloys.
2. Strong knowledge of AS9100, aerospace standards, and customer quality requirements.
3. Lead NPI, Industrialization, Production Transfer and Manufacturing Readiness activities.
4. Support integration and utilization of CAD, PLM, ERP, and MES systems across manufacturing operations.
5. Drive Industry 4.0 and shop floor digitization initiatives.
6. Develop and monitor manufacturing KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
7. Conduct manufacturing capability assessments and support supplier industrialization and development.
8. Hands-on experience with Teamcenter, MES applications, and Net-Inspect.
9. Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel, data analysis and performance reporting.
10. Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.
