Role Summary
We are looking for committed Mandarin tutors to teach students either online or through home-visit sessions. You will support learners with School Mandarin, HSK preparation, daily conversation, or Business Mandarin. Success in this role means delivering engaging lessons, showing professionalism, and helping students achieve measurable progress. This role is flexible and ideal for university students, fresh graduates, or experienced tutors who want meaningful teaching experience with a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Teach Mandarin lessons based on the student's level and goals (School Mandarin, HSK, conversational, or business).
- Prepare lesson plans or follow provided teaching materials.
- Conduct online or home-visit sessions in a professional and safe manner.
- Track student progress and provide feedback regularly.
- Communicate scheduling, updates, and concerns with parents/students and the admin team.
- Maintain punctuality, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Uphold Mandarin Buddy's standards for lesson quality and student experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- HSK 4 or above OR
- Chinese Literature university student OR
- TOCFL certificate holder OR
- International student currently studying in China (any major).
Other Skills & Preferences:
- Strong Mandarin speaking and reading skills.
- Good communication and patience when teaching.
- Comfortable teaching online (Zoom/Google Meet).
- Ability to travel for home-visit lessons (for offline tutoring).
- Able to teach in English is a plus.
- Teaching experience is a plus but not required.
- Responsible, punctual, and committed to student progress.
