Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mandarin Translator to support communication and documentation processes within our cosmetics and personal care manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for translating verbal and written communication between Mandarin and English/Indonesian, especially related to production, quality, purchasing, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate documents, reports, SOPs, specifications, and emails from Mandarin to English/Indonesian and vice versa.
- Provide interpretation support during meetings, factory visits, audits, and business discussions with Chinese partners or suppliers.
- Assist communication between local employees and Mandarin-speaking management, vendors, or clients.
- Translate technical and operational documents related to cosmetics and personal care manufacturing.
- Support departments such as Production, Purchasing, R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain in daily communication needs.
- Ensure translation accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency of terminology.
- Coordinate with related departments to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
- Prepare meeting minutes and translated summaries when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chinese Literature, Mandarin Language, Translation, or related field.
- Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Proficient in English and/or Indonesian.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Translator or Interpreter, preferably in cosmetics, FMCG, manufacturing, or personal care industry.
- Familiar with manufacturing terminology and business communication.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Chinese suppliers or manufacturing companies.
- Understanding of cosmetics or personal care product manufacturing processes.
- HSK certification is an advantage.
