Role Description The Mandarin Translator will work on-site in Subang on a contract basis, supporting communication between Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and local teams. Day-to-day tasks include translating written documents, reports, and operational materials from Mandarin to Bahasa Indonesia and/or English, and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and clarity. The role also involves interpreting during meetings, briefings, and site visits, helping teams understand procedures, technical instructions, and management directives. The Mandarin Translator will collaborate closely with operational, administrative, and management staff, maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity, and may assist in preparing bilingual presentations or training materials as needed.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, and English, with excellent reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
• Demonstrated experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities management environment.
• Ability to convey technical and operational information accurately, with strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Good interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams on-site.
• Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) to prepare and edit documents.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple translation tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant educational background in languages, translation, or a related field is preferred; professional translation certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience working in Subang or similar industrial areas is beneficial, along with familiarity with safety and operational terminology.
