Role Description
- Performs interpretation for internal meetings, client negotiations, business trips, and external conferences.
- Accurately translates technical, legal, and business discussions, etc., for all parties.
- Facilitates communication between expatriate leaders and local employees, assisting with daily operational needs.
- Translates various documents from Mandarin to English or Indonesian, and from English or Indonesian to Mandarin.
- Translates documents such as contracts, technical manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), financial reports, marketing materials, and internal correspondence as needed.
- Ensures all translated materials are grammatically correct, culturally appropriate, and use appropriate industry terminology.
- Reviews and edits translations completed by third parties or junior staff to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company terminology.
- Assists superiors in scheduling, organizing documents, and coordinating logistics, as needed, for meetings and visits involving Mandarin-speaking parties.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all interpreted and translated information.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
- Able to communicate effectively with international engineering experts.
- Basic understanding of engineering or technical concepts.
- Prior experience in an engineering, technical, or industrial environment is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced project environment.
