MANDARIN TRANSLATOR (FREELANCE)

We are looking for a Mandarin Translator to support an upcoming executive-level event attended by business leaders, executives, and professionals.

Responsibilities

- Provide Mandarin–Indonesian and Indonesian–Mandarin interpretation during the event.

- Deliver accurate and natural consecutive interpretation while maintaining the speaker's intended meaning, tone, and context.

- Facilitate communication between Mandarin-speaking speakers and Indonesian participants.

- Interpret discussions related to business, leadership, management, and professional development.

- Coordinate with speakers and the organizing team prior to the event to understand the materials, terminology, and event flow.

- Maintain a professional standard of communication, confidentiality, and conduct throughout the event.

Requirements

- HSK Level 5 or above; HSK 6 is highly preferred.

- Fluent in Mandarin and Indonesian, both spoken and written.

- Able to interpret fluently, accurately, and confidently in a live setting.

- Strong Mandarin listening and comprehension skills, including the ability to understand different speaking styles and business discussions.

- Familiar with business and executive-level terminology.

- Excellent communication and public-speaking skills.

- Professional appearance, demeanor, and etiquette.

- Able to communicate confidently with senior executives and business leaders.

- Previous experience as a Mandarin interpreter in business, corporate, conference, education, or professional settings is highly preferred.
