LNG PLANT MANAGER (2IC)
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
• To assist the Manager LNG T&R in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and safety across all LNG plant operations.
• To act as a key decision-maker in the absence of the Manager LNG T&R, maintaining business continuity and production efficiency.
• To provide leadership, technical guidance, and support to the operational team, fostering continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and Indonesian regulations.
- Assist the Manager LNG T&R in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the LNG terminal, storage, and regasification plant in compliance with technical, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Act as the primary decision-maker in the absence of the Manager LNG, ensuring continuous operations and adherence to company policies and Indonesian regulations.
- Support strategic leadership and ensure that operational objectives and production targets are met while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the LNG terminal and regasification plant, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Oversee technical problem-solving, providing advice to operational teams to maintain production efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Support the Manager LNG T&R in ensuring all plant operations comply with Indonesian laws, regulations, and company procedures to reduce legal risks and safeguard business continuity.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth and safe execution of operational processes.
- Act as a second-in-command, stepping into the Manager LNG role when necessary, ensuring that all operational processes continue seamlessly.
- Assist in leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and meeting production targets.
- Oversee the development of departmental staff, ensuring adequate training, performance management, and career development are in place.
- Ensure that all operations within the LNG plant adhere to regulatory requirements and standards, including the completion of required documentation.
- Provide guidance to teams to maintain compliance with company policies and regulations during routine operations and in response to incidents.
- Support the Manager LNG T&R in liaising with local and national regulatory bodies to maintain a positive relationship and ensure the plant is meeting all legal obligations.
- Assist in preparing periodic reports on plant operations, including safety incidents, production metrics, and compliance status.
- Monitor operational performance against the plant's targets and support in implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Support budget preparation, including OPEX and CAPEX forecasting, and monitor expenditure to stay within approved limits.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the plant, encouraging team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and best practices to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Assist in managing safety and incident records, ensuring that any safety incidents are reported promptly and appropriately to regulatory authorities.
- Ensure that all staff, including subcontractors, adhere to safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and operational disturbances.
- Other duties as assigned.
What skills and experience do you need
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. Master's Degree or MBA will be an advantage.
- Possess a Pengawas Utama K3 Migas (Highest Level Operational Inspector Certificate) and other relevant Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) certifications; Possess a POM (Pengawas Operasional Madya) certificate or other qualifications recognized by the Kepala Inspektur Tambang (KaIT) in accordance with the position level.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the energy industry, with significant exposure to LNG operations, energy management, and operational leadership.
- Proven experience managing LNG terminal, storage, regasification, or related gas processing facilities; Experience in operational excellence, budget management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement; Experience in monitoring operational performance indicators, analyzing reports, and driving corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of LNG plant operations, including terminal, storage, and regasification processes; Strong knowledge of Indonesian regulations, industry standards, and company operational procedures; Understanding of safety incident management, reporting processes, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to oversee safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while ensuring compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements; Ability to troubleshoot operational and technical issues and provide effective solutions to achieve business objectives; Ability to support operational improvement initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and implement industry best practices; Ability to support OPEX and CAPEX budgeting processes and monitor expenditure performance.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to act as second-in-command and assume full operational responsibility when required; Strong people management skills, including workforce planning, coaching, performance management, and capability development; Ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities; Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a complex operational environment.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Working Location : Site Based - West Sumbawa
Working Schedule : Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)
