Maintenance Technician E&I

PT Medco Geothermal Sarulla (MGS), is one of subsidiary of Medco Power Indonesia (MPI) based in Tarutung, North Sumatera is looking for professionals with the following qualifications:

Job Description :

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
• Inspect, test, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation, PLC, DCS, SCADA and communication systems.
• Perform maintenance and monitoring of generators, excitation systems, transformers, protection relays and 150 kV switchyard equipment.
• Execute maintenance work orders in accordance with CMMS schedules, maintenance procedures and OEM recommendations.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report abnormalities that may affect plant safety, reliability or availability.
• Support startup, shutdown, commissioning, testing and recommissioning activities of plant equipment and systems.
• Perform functional testing of control systems, protection systems, interlocks and safety devices to ensure proper operation.
• Participate in equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and verify contractor and vendor activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, calibration documentation, technical reports and equipment history data.
• Comply with all company HSE requirements, including Permit to Work (PTW), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
• Perform emergency call-out duties and provide technical support during equipment failures or plant disturbances.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment and calibration instruments in good working condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the E&I Supervisor or Maintenance Management.

Job Qualification :

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in power plant, geothermal, oil & gas, or process industry is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems.
• Good knowledge of instrument calibration, control valves, transmitters, PLC, SCADA, and DCS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Electrical & Instrumentation systems.
• Able to read and understand P&ID, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with CMMS for maintenance planning, execution, and documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and good command of English.
• Experience in Operation & Maintenance (O&M) within geothermal or power plant environments will be considered an advantage and given priority.
