Maintenance Supervisor
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the reliability, safety, and operational readiness of our retail fuel station (SPBU) network.
In this role, you will lead maintenance planning and execution, manage contractors, optimize maintenance costs, oversee asset performance, and ensure compliance with HSSE standards. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime while maintaining operational excellence across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage asset registers and maintenance history for all equipment and facilities.
- Plan, implement, and monitor preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance programs.
- Prioritize maintenance activities based on operational criticality, business impact, and cost efficiency.
- Supervise contractors and internal maintenance activities to ensure work quality, SLA achievement, and safety compliance.
- Conduct technical inspections on fuel systems, electrical systems, buildings, fire protection systems, and other critical infrastructure.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve equipment failures and prevent recurring issues.
- Analyze maintenance trends, equipment reliability, spare part utilization, and maintenance costs to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage spare part inventory, warranty utilization, and replacement planning.
- Monitor maintenance budgets and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure full compliance with HSSE requirements, Permit to Work procedures, and applicable government regulations.
- Coordinate with Site Operations, Procurement, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth maintenance execution.
- Prepare maintenance reports, asset documentation, and performance analysis for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities management, or asset maintenance.
- Experience in fuel retail (SPBU), energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial facilities is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance practices.
- Solid technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with HSSE requirements, occupational health & safety regulations, and fire protection systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Good knowledge of maintenance documentation, reporting, and asset management.
- Strong planning, coordination, communication, and field leadership skills.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and make sound technical decisions.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and committed to operational excellence.
- Willing to travel frequently to operational sites.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience managing contractors and third-party service providers.
- Experience monitoring maintenance budgets and optimizing maintenance costs.
- Familiarity with fuel dispensing systems, underground storage tanks (UST), piping systems, generators, electrical panels, and fire protection systems.
