Maintenance Planner
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team, responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal availability and reliability of mill equipment.
Job Description
- Attend training on personnel competency, operational control, and emergency preparedness; ensure proper PPE usage and adherence to safety procedures before starting any job
- Apply safe work practices at all times to maintain the safety of self and others
- Operate the computerized maintenance system (CMMS) to input and process work requests, Service Requests (SR), and Purchase Requests (PR)
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to keep mill equipment at an acceptable level of availability
- Prepare Min/Max, ROP/ROQ, and part lists within the maintenance computerized system for materials and inventory planning
- Prepare, process, and distribute Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs based on manufacturer recommendations, run through the maintenance computerized system
- Understand and comply with company safety rules, working hour policies, and accepted work regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical information, including repair history and equipment specifications, to support maintenance planning
- Attend company-sponsored training programs to enhance job skills
- Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- Proven experience in maintenance planning, preferably in a plant/mill environment
- Proficient in CMMS/SAP systems for maintenance scheduling and reporting
- Strong knowledge of occupational health & safety (OHS) procedures and PPE requirements
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and coordination skills
- Ability to read and maintain technical documentation and equipment specifications
- Strong understanding of inventory management (Min/Max, ROP/ROQ)
- Willingness to attend ongoing training programs
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work independently
