Job Description:

  • Manage all legal matters at the Jambi site, including dispute resolution, litigation, legal drafting, contract review, and providing legal advice to all departments and business units.
  • Provide legal support to all functions at the site, including Operations/Development, Land Acquisition, HSE & Security, Sustainability & Conservation, Social Impact & External Relations, and HR/People Services.
  • Handle litigation, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution processes related to land, social, civil, and criminal matters.
  • Represent and coordinate with external legal counsels when necessary to ensure effective case management.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local and regional law enforcement authorities (Police, Public Prosecutor's Office, and District Courts) as well as relevant government agencies at the regency and provincial levels in Jambi.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations by providing legal guidance on regulatory, contractual, civil, and criminal law matters in coordination with the Legal Division Head.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and monitor legal agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to safeguard the Company's interests.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the Company's business and provide timely legal updates and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate legal records, case files, reports, permits, and documentation in accordance with Company standards.
  • Support the implementation of corporate governance, compliance initiatives, and internal policies while promoting ethical business practices.

Requirements

  • Min. Bachelor's Degree in Law (S.H.)
  • Certified Indonesian advocate/bar association (PERADI).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the forestry, plantation, agribusiness, mining, or natural resources industry. Prior experience in a reputable law firm is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian laws and regulations, including forestry, environmental, land, civil, criminal, labor, and anti-corruption laws.
  • Proven experience in handling litigation, land disputes, regulatory compliance, contract management, and legal risk mitigation.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and legal drafting skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and develop practical, business-oriented legal solutions while maintaining compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates high integrity, professionalism, and a strong compliance mindset.
  • Self-driven, resilient, and able to perform effectively in a dynamic and high-pressure work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of written and spoken English is preferred.
  • Willing to be placed on Site Tebo, Jambi - regular, no roster.
