Job Responsibilities
- Review, revise, and assess risks for all company contracts, agreements, and business documents—covering car loan partnerships, channel distribution, and funding cooperation—to ensure legal and compliant business operations.
- Lead the judicial disposal of overdue and non-performing assets. Manage the full legal lifecycle, including case filing, litigation, forced execution, asset disposal, and settlement/write-offs. Organize litigation ledgers to improve debt recovery efficiency.
- Leverage knowledge of Indonesian finance, collection, consumer protection, and OJK regulatory rules to identify compliance risks. Standardize front-end operations and post-loan collection processes to prevent regulatory penalties.
- Handle daily disputes, customer complaints, and special legal matters. Issue legal opinions, risk warnings, and rectification suggestions, and ensure the implementation of compliance improvements.
- Support the company's compliance and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) systems. Participate in internal audits, prepare materials for regulatory inspections, maintain legal archives, and update internal policies based on changes in local laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; majors in Law, Finance, Risk Control, or Accounting are preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of comprehensive experience in Indonesian auto finance or consumer finance regarding compliance, legal affairs, AML, or anti-fraud; familiarity with OJK mandatory requirements is essential.
- Fluent Indonesian reading and writing; capable of independently drafting compliance reports, legal documents, and regulatory filings. Good English skills for reviewing international AML rules are a plus.
- Professional Hard Skills:
- Familiar with Indonesian AML/CFT regulations, KYC practices, and sanctions screening processes.
- Knowledge of Indonesian credit compliance, collection regulations, and vehicle hypothecation laws.
- Ability to identify fraud and abnormal financial transactions through business data analysis.
- Proficient in Excel ledger management, policy documentation, and creating compliance checklists.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills to align business, risk, finance, and post-loan departments on compliance requirements; capable of emergency response to sudden events.
- High sense of confidentiality and strong principles, never compromising compliance standards; willing to work overtime for regulatory inspections or case handling.
- Bonus: Indonesian AML certification, law firm experience, practical experience with OJK inspections, or a track record in handling car loan fraud cases.
- Language Required: Advanced English. Mandarin is a plus.
