Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Manager at Kontrak Hukum in Jakarta. The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing legal operations, preparing legal documents, providing legal consultation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing legal affairs on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications
- Provide legal advice and support to senior management on a wide range of legal issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments.
- Train and mentor junior legal staff.
- Lead and manage complex legal projects that span multiple geographies, subject matter areas, jurisdictions, organizations, and business models.
- Provide counsel to staff across all departments on complex legal issues.
- Develop and provide training on legal issues, processes, and policies to multi-level audiences across all departments.
- Law degree or equivalent from an accredited law university (Master Degree is a Plus).
- Peradi License is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in legal research and writing.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Asana or other workflow management tools.
- Ability to conduct webinars and public presentations.
- Fluency in English is a plus.
