The Legal Manager is responsible for leading the company's legal strategy, governance, and compliance, while acting as a trusted legal partner to senior leadership. This role oversees legal risk management, regulatory engagement, fundraising-related legal matters, and litigation, ensuring legal priorities support the company's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute company-wide legal and compliance strategies aligned with company goals.
- Set and manage the company's legal risk appetite, balancing legal, commercial, and ethical considerations.
- Advise senior leadership on legal, regulatory, and strategic matters.
- Oversee fundraising, venture debt, and ongoing litigation, including management of external counsel.
- Manage relationships with regulators, industry bodies, and external legal advisors.
- Prepare executive-level legal reports and board materials.
- Identify and address complex legal and regulatory risks affecting the business.
- Optimize legal planning, resources, and project delivery across the organization.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and adaptability within the legal function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (S.H.) and licensed to practice in Indonesia.
- Minimum 710 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience in a managerial or senior in-house legal role.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to communicate legal risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Experience in fundraising, venture debt, M&A, or litigation management.
- Background in startups, high-growth, or regulated industries.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
