Job Description
This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok Group Singapore.
The role acts as the in-house legal support for Yard operational matters.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Providing legal advice and support to PaxOcean Batam operations, including:
- Advising a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters / projects;
- liaising with external lawyers where required;
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal and transactional documentation such as newbuilding contracts, conversion contracts, repair contracts, recycling and module fabrication contracts, joint venture agreements, leases, vendor and commercial contracts;
- Advising on regulatory and compliance matters; and
- Applying for and maintaining relevant licences where required.
- Co-ordinating with the corporate secretarial team on matters such as, preparing board papers, resolutions
Job Requirements
- Law degree from a reputable university, with 8-12 years PQE
- Qualified to practise law in Indonesia or Singapore
- Experience in shipyards, maritime, engineering, procurement, fabrication, tax, employment and labor law, real estate, intellectual property, commercial and corporate law
- Experience in compliance eg anti-corruption, environmental regulations, permits and licences
- Fluent in reading and writing in Bahasa
- Able to work independently. Overseas experience a plus.
