Location

This is a full-time position at our on-site office in Jakarta.

Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate with a strong desire to learn the intricacies of US stock brokerage regulations under Bappebti (Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditas). Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth legal research on Bappebti regulations pertaining to stock brokerage activities in Indonesia.
• Compliance Support: Assist in developing and implementing effective compliance procedures to ensure adherence to Bappebti regulations.
• Drafting and Review of Legal Documents (Training Provided): Gain experience drafting and reviewing legal documents related to brokerage activities, ensuring compliance with all Bappebti regulations. You will receive training and mentorship from senior legal professionals.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Compliance team, internal departments (sales, operations, and management), and external counsel to navigate compliance issues specific to Bappebti regulations.
• Stay Current on Regulations: Proactively learn about Bappebti updates and changes, identifying potential impacts on our business and contributing to discussions on necessary adjustments.
• Maintain Documentation: Assist in maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of compliance activities, findings, and legal research.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent qualification with a focus on Indonesian law (preferred).
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. We value a strong academic background, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to excellence.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• TOEFL score : 580

Bonus Points:

• Experience working with financial products and services in Indonesia (a plus, but not required).
• Proficiency in Indonesian legal research databases.
