We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Associate to join our team. This role supports the company's corporate legal function, covering contract management, commercial legal support, and corporate compliance reporting. The position will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure agreements, corporate documentation, and regulatory obligations are properly managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical legal advisory to business stakeholders across day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Conduct licensing and regulatory research, including OSS and relevant sectoral regulations, to support business activities and expansion plans.
- Manage end-to-end licensing processes (applications, renewals, amendments) and liaise with authorities to ensure timely compliance.
- Support investment and new business initiatives by identifying regulatory requirements, risks, and structuring considerations.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements (vendor, partnership, and operational contracts) with a risk-aware approach.
- Provide compliance advisory across multiple business areas, proactively identifying regulatory gaps and recommending solutions.
- Assist in handling legal cases, disputes, and regulatory exposures, including coordination with external counsel when needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting (e.g., LKPM) and maintain proper corporate legal documentation and records.
- Develop and maintain legal trackers, documentation systems, and compliance frameworks to improve efficiency and governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- 2–5 years of experience in corporate legal, regulatory, or in-house legal roles, preferably in a fast-paced or tech-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian regulatory framework, including OSS, licensing, and compliance reporting (e.g., LKPM).
- Proven experience in contract drafting and legal advisory for business operations.
- Exposure to investment, new business initiatives, or regulatory structuring is a strong advantage.
- Experience in handling or supporting legal disputes and regulatory matters is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate regulations into practical business solutions.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Strong communication skills in English and Indonesian, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
