Legal Associate

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist In-House Legal in conducting legal analysis to support AFTECH's strategy and policy advocacy efforts.

- Conduct legal analysis and research to support public advocacy efforts, such as providing industry input for draft regulations, guidelines, and other related policy drafts, in collaboration with the Legal team.

- Prepare and review cooperation documents with government agencies on policy drafts and analysis for the benefit of AFTECH.

- Collaborate with the Legal team to develop regular legal policies and/or regulations for AFTECH members.

- Assist in coordinating with various external stakeholders to communicate policy activities (including international organizations, academics, and other associations).

- Take all necessary steps to support all forms of AFTECH's ethics program implementation based on the direction of the Ethics Council, ensuring consistency with AFTECH's overall work program.

- Prepare all forms of correspondence documents for AFTECH's operational needs and interests.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law (S1) or an Advanced degree in law (S2) from a reputable university
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an in-house legal counsel or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Indonesian laws and regulations related to fintech.
• Fluent in English is a must (written and spoken)
