To support our continued development, we are seeking a Legal Assistant to join Rocktree, based in Jakarta, Indonesia, reporting directly to the Senior Legal Counsel.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Legal team, including document management, invoice processing, purchase orders, and maintenance of legal records and SharePoint repositories.
- Assist with legal matters across a broad range of areas, including litigation, commercial transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Support the preparation and review of legal documents, agreements, corporate filings, and internal legal correspondence.
- Coordinate with external counsel and other stakeholders, helping to manage legal matters and ensure timely follow-up on actions and deadlines.
- Assist in maintaining corporate records, board and shareholder resolutions, meeting minutes, and statutory documentation.
- Support the Legal team in monitoring licenses, permits, and compliance obligations across the business.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, reports, and supporting documentation as required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure legal and corporate requirements are met.
- Contribute to special projects and provide general support to the Legal team as business needs evolve.
Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (S.H.) from a reputable university in Indonesia.
- 1-2 years total work experience as an in-house legal professional or associate in a law firm.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- High level of attention to detail, professionalism, and ownership.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility.
- Experience in the shipping, logistics, infrastructure, or maritime sector would be an advantage.
- Postgraduate legal studies or additional professional qualifications would be considered a plus.
