Role Overview

One of our clients is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Legal Assistant to support a busy legal practice in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will assist with administrative, legal, and light accounting tasks while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and strong communication standards.

This role is initially part-time, requiring approximately 4–5 hours per day, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as the firm's needs grow.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Administration

  • Draft, send, and manage professional email communications
  • Maintain and organize client records, legal documents, and case files
  • Prepare, file, and track court filings and legal documentation
  • Assist with document management and file organization
  • Support legal research activities using legal databases and resources
  • Maintain accurate records of case-related activities and deadlines

Calendar & Scheduling Management

  • Manage attorney calendars and appointments
  • Coordinate meetings, consultations, and important legal deadlines
  • Track court dates and filing deadlines
  • Send reminders and follow up on scheduled activities

Client & Administrative Support

  • Provide professional client communication via email, phone, and messaging platforms when required
  • Assist with client intake and follow-up activities
  • Support general administrative operations of the law firm
  • Participate in virtual meetings as needed

Accounting Support

  • Perform basic bookkeeping and accounting-related tasks
  • Assist with invoice tracking and financial record maintenance
  • Utilize QuickBooks for routine accounting activities

Must-Have Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role
  • Understanding of legal documentation, court filings, and law office procedures
  • Experience supporting lawyers or legal professionals is strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong professional email etiquette
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with clients and legal professionals
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
