Position: Lead Marine Engineer
Location: Jakarta
Employment: 1-year direct hire contract
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Marine Engineer to join LNG project. This is a Jakarta-based, office assignment on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will take the lead on marine engineering design and assurance, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure the highest standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key interface with the client and other engineering disciplines.
- Prepare the marine design basis, specifications, and supporting documents.
- Conduct and review marine structural analyses and calculations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and global standards.
- Review, validate, and approve marine structural drawings produced by the drafting team.
- Lead and supervise the development of BOQ/MTO for marine works.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 15 years industry experience, with at least 10 years in marine/structural engineering and 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of completing projects from FEED through EPC.
- Strong technical knowledge of structural design, modularization, codes & standards, and quality control processes.
- Extensive background in LNG facilities, with experience spanning FEED to construction and pre-commissioning.
- Skilled in engineering software such as SACS, USFOS, GRLWEAP, MOSES, STAAD Pro (or similar).
- Resilient and proactive, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
