Understand the New Product Development process to establish development strategies/timelines and proactively coordinate projects across departments
Lead innovative flavor development by analyzing the Indonesian tobacco market and global F&B (Food & Beverage) trends
Build and manage strategic partnerships with global flavor vendors
Mediate and resolve requirements from Marketing, Production, Quality, and SCM based on data-driven insighter
Proactively mitigate risks by considering Indonesian regulatory requirements (BPOM, Cukai, Halal, etc.)
Predict and resolve potential flavor-related issues from Lab Scale to mass production
Establish training curricula for different levels (flavor theory, application, regulation, etc.) and provide vision/performance management to develop team members into professional Flavorists
Professional perfumery/flavoring skills to realize target flavor profiles through component adjustment, exclusion, or substitution using base flavors
Ability to implement product concepts by refining flavor profiles in collaboration with KT&G R&D and flavor suppliers
Provide professional feedback to vendors on target flavors to minimize lead times and improve development accuracy
Predict and solve potential flavor-related issues from Lab Scale to mass production
Proactively mitigate risks by ensuring adherence to Indonesian BPOM, Cukai, and Halal certification requirement
Conduct field-oriented technical training for team members on flavor preparation and sensory descriptors
Qualification:
Min. Bachelor's Degree of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields
Min. 5 - 10 years of R&D experience in the flavor industry (Tobacco, Food, or F&B), with essential experience in supplier collaboration, management, leading new product launches, and the full product launch cycle
Ability to interpret instrumental analysis data (GC-MS, etc.) and lead sensory evaluations
Fluency in business English for technical consultations with Tenaga Kerja Asing and Global Suppliers
