Role Description The Lawyer will work full time on-site in Bandung, providing legal analysis and guidance to support the organization's content and services. Day-to-day tasks include researching relevant legal topics, drafting and reviewing articles or posts, verifying legal facts and citations, and ensuring all content complies with applicable laws and professional standards. The role also involves monitoring legal developments, translating complex legal issues into clear language for a broad audience, and collaborating with editorial or marketing teams to align content with organizational goals. The Lawyer may be asked to participate in consultations, respond to legal inquiries, and contribute to internal policies related to legal risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• Professional legal qualification (e.g., law degree) and eligibility to practice law or substantial experience in legal research and analysis.
• Strong skills in legal research, statutory interpretation, and case law analysis.
• Excellent legal writing and editing skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and accurately.
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and attention to detail in all legal work and published content.
• Ability to communicate effectively with legal and non-legal audiences, both in writing and in person.
• Experience or interest in legal journalism, legal education, or public legal information is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Bandung, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with common legal research tools and basic office software; familiarity with LinkedIn or other social platforms is a plus.
