The platform supports the full device lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, tracking, support, retrieval, and secure disposal across multiple countries.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Backend Developer who can take ownership of features from development through deployment.

You'll join a lean product team and work directly with the CTO and Product Manager to build reliable backend systems, improve platform performance, and solve real operational challenges faced by global customers.

This role is suitable for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, and ship quality work without needing step-by-step direction.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve backend features using PHP and Laravel
• Own features from technical planning through deployment
• Design and build secure REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Debug and resolve technical issues independently
• Work with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases
• Deploy and monitor backend services on AWS
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate with the CTO, Product Manager, and engineering team
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on backend development experience using PHP and Laravel
• Experience contributing meaningfully to a medium or large application
• Strong experience building REST APIs
• Good SQL knowledge using MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Hands-on AWS deployment or monitoring experience
• Understanding of Laravel design patterns, queues, jobs, service providers, and observers
• Able to work independently and solve ambiguous problems
• Strong ownership and accountability
• Professional English proficiency, minimum C1
• Comfortable working in a lean and fast-moving product environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-tenant applications
• Experience with Laravel queues and batch processing
• Experience with OAuth, webhooks, or third-party SDKs
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude
