Role Description
This is a contract role for a Laboratory Coordinator, located on-site in Lombok. The Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating laboratory operations across SUMMIT's research projects, ensuring that laboratory activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with study protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports the implementation of laboratory-related components of research projects, including but not limited to current Project e.g. Cervix Sehat, CAGED, and other health research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations & Quality Management:
Project Coordination:
• Serve as the primary laboratory focal point for research projects involving laboratory components.
• Coordinate laboratory activities across projects, including Servix Sehat, CAGED, and future research initiatives.
• Ensure laboratory deliverables are completed according to project timelines and requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams, researchers, and external partners to support study implementation.
Sample & Data Management:
• Oversee specimen collection, processing, storage, transportation, and tracking systems.
• Ensure proper documentation and chain-of-custody procedures for biological samples.
• Monitor laboratory records and support data quality assurance activities.
Team Supervision & Capacity Building:
• Supervise laboratory staff, technicians, and project-based laboratory personnel.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance monitoring of laboratory team members.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous learning within the laboratory team.
Equipment & Inventory Management:
• Monitor laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee inventory management of laboratory supplies, consumables, and reagents.
• Coordinate procurement requests and ensure adequate stock availability for project activities.
Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination:
• Prepare laboratory reports, updates, and documentation required by project teams and management.
• Support audits, monitoring visits, and quality assessments.
• Coordinate with external laboratories, vendors, and regulatory bodies when necessary.
