Position: L2 Electrical Engineers

Contract: 12 months

Location: On-site - Jakarta

The L2 Electrical Engineer is responsible for the availability, capacity and safe operation of the electrical infrastructure supporting the high-density GPU racks and cooling systems. The scope shall be limited to power inside the data hall (PDUs/busways and rack power feeds). BDx engineers shall be responsible for switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS/STS, upstream PDUs/busways and rack power feeds. Together with BDX, the scope shall include investigating electrical alarms and power-quality issues, monitors capacity and redundancy, performs preventive maintenance and testing, manages electrical switching and failover procedures, and coordinates incident resolution and escalation to L3/OEM support to minimize the risk of GPU service interruption.

Requirements:

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or equivalent recognized technical qualification.

- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining mission-critical electrical infrastructure, preferably within a data center or other 24×7 critical facility.

- Working knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, batteries, generators, ATS/STS, PDUs, RPPs, busways, circuit breakers, grounding and protection systems.

- Experience supporting high-density data center electrical distribution is highly desirable.

- Able to interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, protection diagrams and equipment technical documentation.

- Able to troubleshoot electrical faults, UPS/generator alarms, breaker trips, abnormal loading, phase imbalance and power-quality issues.

- Understanding of electrical redundancy, selective coordination, load management, safe switching and failover procedures in mission-critical facilities.

- Familiarity with electrical safety requirements, LOTO, permit-to-work, SOP/MOP/EOP, preventive maintenance, incident management and RCA.

- Able to perform or coordinate thermography, electrical testing, UPS/battery testing and generator/load-bank testing.

- Willing and able to provide 24×7 shift/on-call support and respond to critical electrical incidents.

Appropriate local electrical competency/licensing should be required where mandated by the jurisdiction.
